You know what is NOT a useful document title?

"Maybe useful for a footnote."

Especially when that document is in a file called "Research" and dated October 2007. What on earth was I even working on then, anyway?

(I'm in end-of-summer organizing mode: this morning I handwashed all my wool sweaters. The wrists are aching, so on to the virtual cleaning!)

I think we should start a peer-reviewed journal for these things.

I'm thinking we could call it "Ronin: The Journal of Unattached Observations and Anchorless Footnotes"

I wanted to comment ROFL, but that comment seems really lame after such a funny rejoinder from Notorious Ph.D.

Obviously my brain is too dead to offer anything but appreciation and commiseration.

And I need to sort out my closet to find my teaching clothes. Can't teach in old t-shirts, at least not as an assistant prof.

LMAO! I make a file JUST for those each time I write. And I've always felt sad for the discarded footnoties.

And Notorious, that's brilliant.

I have scads of submission material... ;)
